Boy, 15, accused of plot to kill students put under house arrest

MONROE, Mich. (AP) — A 15-year-old southeastern Michigan boy accused of planning to kill a girl who spurned him and up to seven other students at his high school has been ordered placed under house arrest. The Monroe News reports Probate Judge Frank L. Arnold this week ordered the boy released from juvenile detention into his parents’ care. The judge says he wants the boy to “become a productive citizen.”

The boy in February pleaded no-contest in a deal with Monroe County prosecutors. Officials have said the student at Jefferson High School near Monroe titled the written plan “Three Days to Kill.” Authorities found a Samurai sword and homemade knife in the boy’s home. MORE
