Report: Kroger to buy 7 Hiller’s locations

Sixteen months after announcing one of its stores was leaving Ann Arbor, grocery store chain Kroger announced Friday it has purchased seven Hiller’s Market grocery stores,

The sale is expected to be finalized in July; however, specific terms of the sale won’t be released.

Details on the conversions of the stores will be announced after the sale is finalized, WDIV reported. Kroger will also be taking over the Hiller’s locations in West Bloomfield, Northville, Plymouth, South Lyon and Commerce Township.

Kroger previously operated a store at 1919 S. Industrial Hwy, which is now home to Lucky’s Market. Kroger decided to leave the location after failing to come to terms on a lease agreement with property owners.
