“Outta’ My Mind on a Saturday Moanin’”

On the road again.

■ I can’t believe we are kicking off the 12th Annual “Paul W. Smith Pure Michigan Tour.” Actually, we were traveling around the great state of Michigan, singing its praises, three years before it officially became “Pure Michigan.”

We realized long ago that with all the many great places to visit and unique things to do in our fabulous state, the idea of reminding fellow Michiganians to be sure to visit our own backyard, was just as important as inviting folks from around the country to come and enjoy all that Michigan has to offer.

As we kick off the 2015 tour, we remind you, “your trip begins at Michigan.org.”

■ The tour week started Friday at Michigan International Speedway, but not for racing.

We are extending an invitation to all to toast Michigan at the 6th annual Michigan Beer and Wine Fest presented by Experience Jackson May 9. Visit MISpeedway.com.

■This Monday, we will be broadcasting from 5:30-9:00 a.m. live from The Arthur Secunda Museum at Cleary University.

■ Tuesday, from the parlor along the world’s longest porch at America’s summer place, Grand Hotel.
