DETROIT, MI — Tolls fees for travelers coming from the Canadian side of the Ambassador Bridge have increased.
The increase is a result of changes in the Canadian exchange rate.
The toll has risen from $5 to $6.25 for passenger vehicles. For trucks, the increase same will come June 1, A.P. reports.
The rate remains $5 on the U.S. side of the Detroit-Windsor bridge.
A proposal to build a twin span of the bridge got a boost last week in a land swap agreement reached between the Detroit International Bridge Company and the Detroit’s mayor, although years of hurdles remain. MORE
