Twenty-two University of Michigan musical theatre graduates captivated hundreds of thousands of people with their unique transformation of the school’s fight song “The Victors,” which they performed in front of their parents at a May 2 graduation party.
“The song was arranged by an alumnus from 2011, A.J. Holmes,” Mackenzie Orr, whose father posted the original video of the performance on Facebook, told The Ann Arbor News.
“He did that for fun and the department asked if they could use it for showcases and other events going forward. It’s a number we do each year at the musical theater senior showcase in New York, among other places.”
