LeBron James-backed restaurant among advertised tenants for Washtenaw Avenue strip

A pair of national food chains may soon be coming to Ann Arbor as part of the Washtenaw Commons development.

Marketing materials for Washtenaw Commons show spaces in the development are blocked out for California-based restaurants Blaze Pizza (which is backed by basketball superstar LeBron James) and Jamba Juice, along with national retailers Lole (a women’s clothing retailer ) and T-Mobile.

“We’re getting a tremendous amount of interest and letters of intent,” said Michael Lippett, one of the listing agents for Landmark Commercial Real Estate Services, the company marketing the development. “But we’re taking it slow and making sure we’ve got the right mix.”

A.F. Jonna Development, a Bloomfield Hills-based real estate company, is redeveloping the strip mall at 3510 Washtenaw Ave. Plans call for one-story infill additions to the property that will connect four already standing retail locations.

Lippett said the letters of intent for the property represent a mixture of nationally known and recognized retail shops and restaurants.

Landmark’s website lists Blaze Pizza as a tenant in the space along with DXL, Dollar Tree, Pure Sleep, Life Uniform, T-Mobile, and Fast Signs.
