Ford Motor Co. is recalling just over 12,000 new mostly aluminum F-150 pickups because of a part that may have been improperly attached causing it to come apart.
The Dearborn automaker said it is recalling the 2015 trucks in North America because a part may not have been riveted properly. This could result in the loss of steering control without warning, increasing the risk of a crash. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries but is aware of one report of loss of steering related to this condition.
