A funeral will be held Monday in Southfield for Rachel Jacobs, the Michigan native who died in the Amtrak Crash in Philadelphia. She was CEO of the Philadelphia startup, ApprenNet and also co-founder of the non-profit Detroit Nation. Her mother is former Michigan State Senator Gilda Z. Jacobs.
Beloved by her family, colleagues and community alike, Rachel leaves behind a husband and two-year-old son.
The funeral is Monday at 10 am at the Ira Kaufman Chapel on west 9 mile road in Southfield.
