Judge approves $200 million dollar settlement in meningitis outbreak

Financial relief is on its way for victims of a deadly fungal meningitis outbreak in 2012. A bankruptcy judge approved a $200 million compensation plan. The source of the outbreak was tainted drugs from the New England Compounding Center in Massachusetts.

Michigan was the hardest by the outbreak. 264 people got sick and 19 died. Nationwide more than 750 people were sickened and 64 were killed.
