A Michigan State Police trooper is recovering after being injured during a high speed chase that started in Royal Oak. Troopers were chasing a man yesterday suspected of being a child predator. The suspect fled but was eventually arrested at I-696 and Van Dyke.
When officers got the suspect’s vehicle to stop, the man reportedly refused to get out of the car forcing officers to break his window. Troopers report that’s when an officer’s hand was cut by some of the broken glass.
