Parents and students at Henry Ford High School are mourning the death of a teenaged Detroit girl in a pedestrian accident. A 14-year-old girl was killed and a 15-year-old girl was injured after they were hit by a minivan while crossing 8-mile in N.W. Detroit. The 15-year-old girl is currently in critical condition at the hospital.
Witnesses say the two girls ran across 8-mile near Evergreen to get ice cream when they were hit by the minivan. The driver of the minivan stopped after the incident. Police continue to investigate.
