Water authority deal is almost done

A water authority deal is almost done. Oakland County Commissioners have been told that Oakland County will sign a lease that would ensure the county would not make payments to the authority that would end up in the Detroit general fund. They say money would go from water rate payers to the water system only. The lease agreement needs approval from Mayor Duggan and a majority of the six member Regional Water Board.
