A 24 year old Westland man has been charged with first degree murder in the shooting death of a 28 year old Detroit man in front of his two children. Police say Charles Reed was in the drive-through lane of a Wendy’s on Detroit’s west side with his two sons when he was shot during a carjacking.
Reed was shot several times. Police have charged 24 year old Dezmen Faqua with first degree murder in the June 6th incident. Reed’s one son was also shot in the hand. Police say Faqua then fled in reed’s car. Police are searching for a second suspect.
