He’s charged with killing two young children while fleeing from police. Today he was in court. 29-year-old Lorenzo Harris, charged with second degree murder in a fatal high speed police chase in Detroit, appeared briefly in court this morning. Harris crashed into a group of children while fleeing police. A 3-year-old and her 6-year-old sibling were killed.
Police say they attempted to stop the car because they saw someone inside with a gun. No gun was found in the car. The investigation into the incident is continuing. His next hearing is set for July 13th.
