A petition drive is under way to get a ballot initiative requiring that Michigan workers be able to earn paid sick days. The initiative would ensure one hour of paid leave for every 40 worked. Many of the same groups that led an effort to raise Michigan’s minimum wage last year are behind the new initiative.
