Kid Rock flag controversy escalates as Sharpton’s group to meet with GM

Kid Rock is at the center of controversy over his use of the confederate flag at concerts. The very popular performer is just weeks away from doing several shows in the Detroit area. The National Action Network, which was founded by Rev. Al Sharpton, has called for a meeting with the tour sponsor, General Motors. NAN has demanded that GM end its relationship with Kid Rock if he won’t stop using the stars and bars. The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, and Al Sharpton says he will be there. On Wednesday morning, Rev. Charles Williams II, President of the Michigan Chapter of the National Action Network and pastor of King Solomon Baptist Church in Detroit appeared on the Frank Beckmann show with M.L. Elrick and Marie Osborne filling in. He had this to say:
