Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton visited a small business in northwest Detroit Tuesday on her way to a $2,700-plus-per-ticket Grosse Pointe fundraiser scheduled Tuesday evening.
Clinton spent about 40 minutes mingling with patrons and spoke briefly with media from Sweet Potato Sensations, a specialty pie company at 17337 Lahser. “Michigan is always important to me personally, and I think to the country,” the former secretary of state said, adding that the collaborative commitment to Detroit among politicians, activists, residents and businesses has caught her attention.
