UPDATE: The marine, who was believed to be headed to Michigan to harm his ex-wife and her family is in custody.
Previous story: Police have been on the lookout for an AWOL marine, Clenard Gee-Simmons, that they believe intended to go to Pontiac to harm his estranged wife and her family. Authorities say he is armed and dangerous. Simmons was contacted by WXYZ TV on his cell phone, and he denied that he was going to kill his wife. The station is also reporting that he is negotiating his surrender with NCIS agents
