The former Holiday Inn on Telegraph near I-696 has been abandoned for six years. Now there is word that a New Zealand group plans to invest 12 million dollars for redevelopment of the property. Kiwi Hospitality says it will do a complete renovation–floor to ceiling–of the property while at the same time preserving the hotel’s iconic round tower. The complex sits on over seven acres of land and includes three hotel buildings. Kiwi says it wants to offer convention and event spaces of about almost 13 thousand square feet. The company says the redevelopment will create 71 total jobs, the work is slated to be completed in two years.
