A ride on the new M-1 rail will have to wait. Officials with the project say service has been pushed back to early 2017 instead of late 2016. A new federal safety certification process has pushed back the schedule on the $140 million rail. Construction began around a year ago on the transit line. It will travel a 6.6-mile roundtrip route along Woodward Avenue from the riverfront
