The city of Royal Oak will be the sight of luxury studio apartments – or micro apartments- which are mostly seen in New York or Los Angeles. The city has given Amber Apartments permission to build a 36 unit complex on 11 Mile east of Main. The apartments are targeted toward millennials, will average 315 square feet and rent for between $800 and a $1000 per month. Construction is expected to start at the end of the year.
