Three classic cars were stolen from the Woodward Dream Cruise this weekend. Police in Oakland and Wayne counties are still looking for them. The first vehicle was a red 1966 Corvette stolen Saturday afternoon in Birmingham. It was taken from the Park Street parking structure between 12:30 and 2 p.m. The license plate is ITSMY66.
The second was reported stolen Sunday morning by a guest at the Kingsley Inn on Woodward in Bloomfield Hills: A black 1966 Chevelle 300 Deluxe was on a trailer overnight in the parking lot of the inn. The Chevy Silverado pulling the trailer was also taken
The third car was stolen Sunday during the overnight hours: A gold 1972 Chevy Camaro that belonged to the founder of Papa John’s Pizza was taken from a parking lot on Woodbridge Street. In that case, surveillance video recorded the actual theft showing the trailer pulling away, with the Camaro inside.
