Southbound 75 has re-opened after an early morning tanker fire shut down I-75 in both directions at the border of Lincoln Park and Detroit. The northbound lane is still closed at Southfield but will re-open at 5 a.m. Monday. It appears the tanker struck the median before catching fire—the tanker had 8 thousand gallons of fuel on board. Witnesses say there was an explosion and then flames. The driver was critically injured Here’s Lt. Mike Shaw speaking on the Paul W. Smith show
