A grill in the garage touched off a fire which killed a 17-year-old girl at a home on Austin Drive near 13 Mile Road in Warren. Investigators say the fire started in the attached garage where a gas grill was being used. It then spread throughout the house and burned the family’s car. Others who were in the house got out safely. According to officials, propane in the gas grill and gas in the vehicle in the garage caused explosions, which made the fire worse.
