A court examination will begin today after bank robbery in South Lyon

The answer is– he wanted the money. The question is— why did he rob the bank? Brian Randolph claims it isn’t that simple.

Randolph is charged with a holdup at the Vibe Credit Union in South Lyon last month.

He says he did it because his little daughter has cancer and he can’t afford the treatments. His daughter is one year old and gets chemo treatments for a form of eye cancer. Authorities say he spent money on some luxury items.

Randolph is in jail. A court exam begins today in which a judge will determine whether Randolph will stand trial.
