A Sterling Heights man is due in court today for the hit and run death of a woman who was pushing her disabled son across the street in his wheelchair.
Linda Khayya was 47 and she was run over near 14 mile and Ryan two nights ago. She and her son were not in a crosswalk when they were struck. The red Cadillac was found abandoned in Highland Park.
Authorities say the 15 year old disabled son is still recovering in the hospital and is having a hard time understanding that his mother is gone.
