Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who was found in contempt of court after refusing to issue marriage licenses in Rowan County, left jail.

Keith said Arise Detroit’s mission is to launch a new wave of volunteerism for the many worthwhile programs and activities that are struggling with the issues in the community, including illiteracy, high school dropout rates, crime, youth violence, drug abuse, domestic abuse, neighborhood blight, and unemployment. Neighborhoods Day will feature community service projects, art festivals, school supply giveaways, and vaccination drives.
