An off-duty Lathrup Village police officer is under arrest for allegedly punching a man and killing him during a fight in Detroit. Police say the victim, a 41-year-old man, jumped the fence of the officer’s yard on the city’s west side and started a fight. The two men reportedly had an ongoing dispute, which escalated around 7:30 Sunday night. During the fight, the officer hit the victim in the head and killed him. Reports say no weapons were found at the scene. Detroit police continue the investigation.
