GM’s Mary Barra is on top of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list

General Motors CEO Mary Barra is at the top of the list in a new Fortune magazine list of the Most Powerful Women. The 53-year-old Barra was touted by Fortune for leading the carmaker “out from under the shadow of its 2014 ignition-switch recall.”

Keith said Arise Detroit’s mission is to launch a new wave of volunteerism for the many worthwhile programs and activities that are struggling with the issues in the community, including illiteracy, high school dropout rates, crime, youth violence, drug abuse, domestic abuse, neighborhood blight, and unemployment. Neighborhoods Day will feature community service projects, art festivals, school supply giveaways, and vaccination drives.
