UAW members are called back for a re-vote after ballot error

Voting by United Auto Workers members on the tentative four-year deal with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has been called back for a re-vote.

There was an unknown number of people that voted Tuesday in Warren. During the eight-hour period there was one ballot asking about both national and local contract agreements in the same question.

The UAW Election Committee has asked members to return Wednesday or Sept. 28 between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. The new ballots will have separate vote boxes for the national and local contracts. They will be voted on separately because they are separate agreements. The local deal covers individual plant rules and regulations.
