A 20-year-old Pontiac mother is facing charges in connection to the beating of her 3-month-old daughter. Constance Johnson is accused of inflicting serious injuries on the baby including bruises and broken ribs. The baby was taken to the hospital last week unconscious and not breathing. Doctors notified police the child might have been the victim of abuse. Johnson is being charged with first and second degree child abuse. The baby is listed in stable condition.
