Some details are emerging about the new UAW contract at Chrysler. Entry level workers would make $29 an hour, same as their senior colleagues, once they put in 8 years. Employees hired before 2007 will still get a 3% raise in the first & third year, plus 2 lump sum payments. All workers will still receive a $3,000 signing bonus when the contract is ratified. Profit sharing will be paid equally to all employees. Rank and file voting could start next week.
