Proposed changes in Michigan’s open carry law

There are new proposed changes in the works for Michigan’s open carry law. The Senate Committee on Judiciary will hear testimony in support of a bill that would allow those with concealed pistol licenses to carry them in pistol-free zones and eliminate the requirement to openly carry them there. Right now pistol-free zones in the state are schools, daycare facilities, bars, casinos hospitals, college campuses, churches, and entertainment venues that seat more than 2,500.
