Detroit police say a 4 year old is dead after her mother fell asleep and rolled on top of her. Also in Pontiac, police say a 3 month old and a 1 year old died in a similar manner in separate incidents. The deaths occurred within a 24-hour period. Joann Moss, an injury prevention coordinator at Detroit’s Children’s Hospital says, “Everyone should have their own bed, even stuffed animals and bumper pads should be kept out of an infant’s crib.”
