Thousands of runners are taking part in this year’s Free Press-Talmer Bank Marathon this weekend. Events include Saturday’s 5K and kids fun run and well as Sunday’s marathon. Many streets in Detroit will be closed for the marathon: These streets will be closed Sunday from 2 a. m. til 3 p. m.
W. Fort Street from the east side of 3rd Street to Campus Martius
W. Lafayette Boulevard from the east side of 3rd Street to Griswold/Michigan
Cass Avenue from Michigan Avenue to north side of Congress
Shelby Street from Michigan Avenue to W. Congress Street
Griswold Street from Michigan Avenue to north side of W. Congress Street
Washington Boulevard from the south side of W. Congress Street to the north side of W. Larned Street

The Ambassador Bridge will have controlled traffic between 5:45 a.m. and 9 a.m. The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel will be completely closed between 6:45 a.m. and 10 a.m.
Southbound Lodge Freeway will be completely closed from Interstate 75 thru to East Jefferson from 4 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The Larned Street ramp will remain closed until 2 p.m.
The MacArthur Bridge to Belle Isle State Park will be restricted from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
