Child found safe in Huron Twp. Burger King bathroom after carjacking. Police looking for suspect, car

A child who was in the backseat of a car, that was stolen, was found in a Burger King bathroom. Police say the 2-year-old was being watched by the father’s girlfriend. She went into a market and left the car running. Monroe police report the child was found 20 miles away at the Burger King on South Huron & 275. The kid is OK, but police are still searching for the stolen car.

Police are looking for a white male in his 30’s. He was wearing a blue sweatshirt with a Superman logo, a black coat and a scarf. The stolen vehicle is a four-door blue 2002 Buick Rendezvous with a license plate number of GQF 8242.
