A Detroit pastor was questioned after shooting and killing an attacker inside the City of God Church on Grand River Avenue near Lahser. The man went after the pastor with a brick in the vestibule shortly after the service got underway. The suspect was shot several times by the pastor. According to Assistant Detroit Police Chief Steve Dolunt, the attacker had threatened the pastor and church members previously and a police report had been filed against him. The case has been turned over to the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.
