UAW workers begin voting on new contract with Fiat Chrysler

The union rank and file are voting Tuesday and Wednesday on a new agreement between the UAW and Fiat-Chrysler. The first one was soundly rejected. There seems to be less opposition to this new agreement. In the first vote, the union was criticized for not updating members and not responding to critics. It was apparent the leaders got the message. Following the second agreement, they launched a media blitz on the advances made in the new contract. The union did decide to shorten the voting process on this agreement to two days in contrast to the two-week time period for the first vote.
