The three-member panel that will select Wayne County’s new Treasurer will hold a public hearing this afternoon. Current Treasurer 86-year old, Raymond Wojtowicz will retire effective December 1st after holding the job for 39 years. Eight candidates filed to be his replacement. All will be interviewed by the panel which consists of Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy, County Clerk Cathy Garrett and Chief Probate Judge Freddie Burton Junior. The winner would serve until the 2016 county elections.
