She Put Her Baby In A Bag

A Wyandotte woman accused of killing her newborn son is scheduled to be sentenced Monday. Prosecutors say 26-year-old Kimberly Pappas gave birth in a bathroom at work then put the infant in a plastic bag in her office desk. Pappas is charged with murder but contends she did not kill the baby. She said she believes the baby was stillborn. An autopsy determined that the full term, 8 pound 3 ounce baby boy died of suffocation. Pappas agreed to plead guilty to a charge of second degree murder and faces between nine and 20 years in prison.
