Clarkston woman helped secure suspects but is arrested

A 46-year-old Clarkston woman  is due in court today after shooting at a shoplifter’s vehicle in Rochester Hills.

Police say Tatiana Duva-Rodriguez saw a security officer chasing a suspected shoplifter in the parking lot of a Rochester Hills’ Home Depot store.

After the suspect jumped in a waiting car, Duva-Rodriguez, pulled out her gun and tried to shoot out the tire of the car.

The two Flint men who attempted to run were later arrested but Duva-Rodriquez was charged with reckless use of a firearm, which is a misdemeanor punishable by up to 90 days in jail.
