Halloween Hit and Run victim expected to recover

The 14-year-old girl who was injured in a hit-and-run accident after trick-or-treating in Pittsfield Township is expected to make a full recovery. Samiah Todya was struck by two vehicles and dragged almost two miles on Halloween night. Todya is breathing on her own and has no broken bones. Samiah was trick-or-treating with two friends, the girls were dressed in all black and were on their way home when the accident happened. Samiah tried to cross Ellsworth road and was hit by the first driver. The 33-year-old driver stopped but couldn’t find the girl. Todya had been pushed into the eastbound lanes and dragged by another vehicle nearly two miles. The second driver never stopped.
