A 4-year-old boy was in a car in the parking lot of a Kroger store in Troy when he shot himself in the leg. Police said the boy’s mother was loading the car with groceries at the Kroger at Crooks Road and W. South Boulevard when he found the gun in the center console. Three other children in the car were not hurt. The boy’s mother is a licensed gun holder. The child was taken to the hospital, it’s believed his injuries are not life threatening.
