Charter bus involved in Arkansas accident not owned by Detroit’s Continental Charters

The charter bus that crashed in Arkansas on Friday, carrying Michigan passengers, is not owned by Continental Charters. The bus sign says “Continental Charters,” but Arkansas State Police officer Bill Sadler says the Detroit-based Continental Charters sold the bus one week prior to the accident to Vesquez Citrus and Hauling for $8,000.  The new owner did not remove the sign from the bus. The bus was purchased to transport Michigan immigrants to Texas and Florida.
