Waterford man in court for State trooper death

A 69-year-old Waterford man, Charles Warren, is due in court Friday for his connection in the death of a Michigan State trooper. Police say Warren was driving on Dixie Highway back on August 28th when he made an abrupt lane change driving onto the I-75 freeway. The trailer he was pulling struck 38-year-old trooper and father of four, Chad Wolf, who was on motorcycle patrol. Wolfe was trapped under the trailer and dragged several miles. Several motorists called 911 before Wolf pulled over at a rest stop. Wolfe was rushed to the hospital, where he died later the same day. Warren was charged with felony accounts for reckless driving and failure to stop at a scene of an accident and he could face up to 15 years imprisonment for each felony.
