Boston British Airways Passenger Restrained

A passenger was restrained during a British Airways flight to Boston’s Logan airport, the Massachusetts State Police said on Twitter on Tuesday. State police said they plan to take the person into custody. There is conflicting information about what the passenger is accused to have done. The Federal Aviation Administration said the passenger tried to get out an exit door. State police said the passenger allegedly was trying to rush the cockpit. A British Airways spokeswoman said the crew “requested that police meet the flight in Boston due to an unruly customer on board.” A review of the air traffic control transmission indicates pilots did not declare an emergency.
