Ford Motor workers vote on new agreement while GM’s workers continue talks

Rank and file workers at the Ford Motor Company are scheduled to complete the voting process on Wednesday for their new four-year agreement: the agreement was reached a week ago. Union leaders say they are confident the agreement will be ratified. Meantime, talks continue between the UAW and its skilled trades workers at General Motors. Trade workers voted down the last agreement. Union leaders and General Motors negotiators agreed to extend the old contract until this Friday while talks continue.
