A case of tuberculosis has been confirmed by the Macomb County Health Department in a student attending the Utica School district. The student was enrolled at Utica High School but did spend some time at Stevenson High School. Letters were sent to students’ parents from both schools. Health officials say they are working to determine if any students or staff had potential exposure and testing will continue for the next few weeks.TB is a contagious airborne disease that is transmitted through coughing. Extra cleaning and disinfection will take place at both high schools
