Oakland County power failure affects water pumps

The Oakland County Water Resource Commission says Pontiac had a wide spread power failure that affected the water pumps. The water pressure throughout the system dropped by about 80% but because it never hit zero pounds per square inch. A boil water advisory was not needed. The Oakland County Water Resource Commission representative said once the power was restored they were able to restore the water pressure.
