The Tigers got a new closer in a trade with the Brewers. Veteran right-hander Francisco Rodriguez, also known as K-Rod, has been acquired by the Tigers. General Manager Al Avila calls him a perennial all-star closer who has pitched on a World Series championship team and is someone who can provide experience at the back end of the bullpen.
